Abstract

In February 2024, year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Bandung Regency was 4.02 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.72.

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in most expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 7.01 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.91 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 2.11 percent; health group at 3.82 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 1.26 percent; education group at 0.40 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 7.80 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 6.39 percent. Three other expenditure groups experienced deflation, namely: the clothing and footwear group at 0.58 percent; transportation group by 0.14 percent; and the information, communication and financial services group at 0.95 percent.

The month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate and year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate for Bandung Regency in February 2024 are 0.31 percent and 0.37 percent respectively.
