Abstract

In January 2024, year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Bandung Regency will be 4.11 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.39. Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in most expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 7.08 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.93 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 2.09 percent; health group at 3.90 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 1.26 percent; education group by 0.40 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 7.87 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 6.69 percent. Three other expenditure groups experienced deflation, namely: the clothing and footwear group at 0.20 percent; transportation group by 0.14 percent; and the information, communication and financial services group at 0.67 percent. The month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate and year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate for Bandung Regency in January 2024 are 0.06 percent each.
