Development of the Bandung Regency Consumer Price Index, August 2024

In August 2024, the deflation rate was 0.13 percent, with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) being 107.43.

Deflation occurred due to a decrease in prices, indicated by the declination in most expenditure group indices: the food, beverage, and tobacco group by 0.60 percent and the housing, water, electricity, gas and household fuels group by 0.30 percent; and the information, communication and financial services group by 0.01 percent.

The inflation rate within the calendar year (January 2024- August 2024) was 1.03 percent, and the year-on-year inflation rate (August 2024 compared to August 2023) was 2.30 percent.
