Abstract

Farmers’ Terms of Trade (FTT) is the ratio of the price index received by farmers (IT) to the price index paid by farmers (IB).
FTT reflects the terms of trade of agricultural products with goods and services consumed, as well as production costs.
In September 2024, the FTT in West Java decreased by 0.01 percent compared to August 2024, from 111.99 to 111.98.
The index of agricultural production prices (IT) decreased by 0.18 percent, and the index of goods and services consumed by farmers (IB) also decreased by 0.18 percent.
Agriculture’s Terms of Trade (NTUP) in West Java in September 2024 decreased by -0.23 percent, while the Production Cost and Capital Goods Addition Index (BPPBM) increased by 0.05 percent.
The price of Dry Harvested Rice (GKP) at the farmer level increased by 1.33 percent, while the price of Medium Rice at the milling level decreased by 1.08 percent.
In September 2024, the average price of Dry Harvested Rice (GKP) at the farmer level was Rp 6,713 per kg, an increase of 1.33 percent compared to August 2024. The average price of GKP at the milling level was Rp 6,928 per kg, up 1.49 percent. Meanwhile, the price of Dry Milled Rice (GKG) at the farmer level decreased by 0.88 percent, and at the milling level, it decreased by 0.70 percent.
