Understand West Java's Human Development Index

Hi #Sahabatdata, let's understand together the Human Development Index of West Java Province.

So there are 3 basic dimensions in the formation of the Human Development Index (HDI), namely longevity and healthy living, decent living standards, and knowledge. The Longevity and Healthy Living dimension can be seen from the Life Expectancy (UHH) at Birth where in 2024 the West Java Province UHH figure is 75.16. This value increased by 0.25 years compared to 2023.

The next dimension is the Decent Standard of Living where the measurement is seen from the real expenditure per capita per year. In 2024, the per capita expenditure of West Java Province increased by 462 thousand rupiah to Rp 12,157,000, - compared to 2023.

The third dimension is knowledge which can be seen from the Expected Years of Schooling (HLS) and Average Years of Schooling (RLS). In 2024, both the HLS and RLS of West Java Province have increased compared to the previous year.

There are 4 cities in West Java Province with very high HDI values, namely: Bandung City, Bekasi City, Depok City, and Cimahi City.
