Complete Enumeration Results of the 2023 Census of Agriculture - Edition 2: Food Crops Individual Agricultural Holdings Bandung Regency

The agricultural sector has the potential to contribute significantly to the national economy. The fact that there is still high employment absorption in the agricultural sector, as well as the significant contribution of foreign exchange from the rapidly growing agribusiness sector and the provision of raw materials for downstream industries, shows the resilience of the agricultural sector in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic. Given this situation, the provision of accurate and timely agricultural sector data is very important because it can help the government and stakeholders in planning and developing policies for both domestic and national development interests, so that it can be used as a reference. Comprehensive basic statistical data on the agricultural sector is obtained through the implementation of the Agricultural Census. In accordance with the provisions of Law Number 16 of 1997, the main task and responsibility for conducting the Agricultural Census is given to the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The 2023 Agricultural Census (ST2023) was initiated to accommodate the variables needed to present highly dynamic agricultural data. It aims to meet data needs at the national and international levels, and is designed so that the results are in accordance with international standards, referring to the Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) program known as the World Programme for the Census of Agriculture (WCA) 2020. Therefore, ST2023 is expected to present data that can be compared internationally.
