Statistics of Bandung Regency Employment 2023

Employment data and information play an important role in the preparation of employment strategies, policies, and programs in the context of development and solving problems related to employment. In the last four years, the Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) of Bandung Regency has experienced a downward trend to 6.52 percent in 2023. Meanwhile, the Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) has fluctuated, where in 2023 it is the highest, at 67.10 percent.A total of 1,756,328 residents of Bandung Regency who work are mostly dominated by workers with the highest education graduation from High School (SMA)/equivalent by 34.50 percent. The working population in Bandung Regency is in the category of semi-unemployment at 25 percent. Judging by gender, the number of female semi-unemployed workers is 55.8 percent, higher than that of men at 44.2 percent.Of the 1,756,328 residents of Bandung Regency who work, 55.61 percent work in the service sector, followed by the manufacturing sector at 37.59 percent and the rest in the agricultural sector at 6.8 percent. Then information was obtained that Bandung Regency has an almost balanced estimate of the number of formal and informal workers, where formal workers are 51.1 percent while informal workers are 48.9 percent.
