2020 Population Census Long Form Results, Bandung Regency

The 2020 Population Census is the first census to be carried out in two census stages. The series of 2020 Population Census activities is divided into two stages, namely population data collection using a simple questionnaire (short form) in 2020 and then followed by data collection using a more detailed questionnaire (long form) for sample households in 2022. Booklet of Long Form Results The 2020 Population Census contains indicators of fertility, mortality, mobility, employment, education, and housing which are expected to be able to meet the needs of the latest population data for the purposes of planning, monitoring, evaluating development programs such as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the RPJMN in the population sector.Bandung Regency is a district with enormous potential. In terms of population, Bandung Regency is the second largest Regency in West Java after Bogor Regency. With the right strategy, the population as a potential resource can become the strength of the nation to realize the ideals of an advanced Indonesia. In 2022, exactly one decade of demographic bonus in Bandung Regency, BPS is committed to completing the mandate to carry out the Advanced Population Census (Long Form SP2020) with various challenges amid the Covid-19 pandemic. With the permission of God Almighty accompanied by the hard work of all parties, the Long Form SP2020 data collection has been completed. The SP2020 Long Form carries a big mission as a Benchmark for Indonesia's population indicators, a Portrait of Indonesia's Demographics after going through the 2nd wave of the Covid-19 Pandemic, evaluation of development achievements in the population sector in the SDGs and RPJMN, as well as being the basis for determining Indonesia's development policies towards Golden Indonesia 2045. Even though it was carried out in the midst of a pandemic, there were several innovations implemented in the SP2020 Long Form, one of which was the use of various data collection modes (PAPI, CAPI, and CATI). For the first time, Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI) was applied in the history of the population census in Indonesia. The journey of implementation and results of the SP2020 Long Form is briefly presented in the Population Indicators Outcome booklet of the Bandung Regency Long Form SP2020. This booklet presents a comprehensive picture of the population situation in Bandung Regency based on the results of the Long Form SP2020. The basic data coverage of the SP2020 Long Form results are indicators of fertility, mortality, mobility, disability, education, and housing. It is hoped that the provision of demographic parameters and population characteristics will produce indicators to monitor and evaluate the achievement of the SDGs and RPJMN targets in the population sector.
