5 Facts about Poverty in West Java

Poverty is a fundamental problem that is of serious concern to the government. BPS presents data and information about poverty using data from the results of Susenas (Survei Sosial Ekonomi Nasional).
The percentage of poor people in West Java in March 2024 was 7.46 percent, a decrease of 0.16 percentage points compared to March 2023, while in terms of quantity the number of poor people in March 2024 was 3.84 million people, a decrease of 39.93 thousand people compared to March 2023.
