BPS Holds The First Cost of Living Survey (SBH) in Bandung Regency

January 11, 2022 | BPS Activities

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) is currently conducting the 2022 Cost of Living Survey (SBH) simultaneously in 154 districts/cities in Indonesia. In this SBH, there is an additional sample coverage of 60 districts/cities and Bandung Regency is one of them. The selection of Bandung Regency as an additional sample was based on several considerations, such as the amount of non-food consumption expenditure, a population larger than the provincial average, proximity to the provincial capital, and the number of existing households.

The survey which aims to produce commodity packages and weighing charts for the calculation of the CPI is carried out from December 2021 to December 2022. The survey is divided into four periods, namely Quarter I, II, III, and IV. After going through the updating and sampling stage in last December, now the SBH2022 officers are conducting household enumeration for the first Quarter period, namely January-March 2022.

The implementation of this survey has the full support of the Regent of Bandung, Mr. H. Dadang Supriatna, S.IP., M.Si through the issuance of a circular on the implementation of the SBH2022. Therefore, let's together make the SBH2022 activity a success in Bandung district by providing correct and factual information to data collection officers in the field!
